About us!
Hibiscus Jamz specializes in live performances that create an elegant and memorable atmosphere for your event. Our unique blend of jazz standards — with touches of Pop, R&B, Brazilian and Caribbean flavours — tastefully complements your cocktail reception, dinner party or intimate jazz lounge.
Core members of the band are founder Alex Eloise (guitar, beats, vocals) and vocalist Michele Castonguay. Both have been performing in the Ottawa jazz scene for over a decade at various locales, including Festival Japan, Zolas Restaurant, Meadows Golf Club, for events both corporate and casual.
Hibiscus Jamz also performs in larger group formats — adding bass, piano, horns, conga, or steel pan drums — tailoring our sound to your needs and budget.
